ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PARTY

Tuesday, November 27th, 6:00 PM, Spaghetti Dinner. BYOB.
Location:Club House Events Center - 7311 W. Potomac (off of Denton, off of Cole Rd.)
Silent auction.

Please bring something for this silent auction.

In past years we have had 60 to 70 + people (adults and kids) from our Optimist club and OYF football committee along with their friends and guests help bring in the holiday season and raise money for Hayes House.

In addition to our membership, sponsors of our Optimist football teams and their families along with other parents of our OYF teams have been invited to celebrate with us, learn more about what we do in the community and, hopefully, join our club.

So, I hope you'll plan to be there Tuesday, bring a silent auction gift or gifts, and a dessert to be auctioned, as well as your checkbook. Also, if you have a gift that would be appropriate as a live auction item to raise big $$$$ please let us know right away.

Please plan to join us to make this a huge success and help us to continue to "make a difference" in the young lives we are able to touch.

WHAT COULD YOU BE DOING THIS TUESDAY NIGHT THAT WOULD BE MORE FUN AND POSITIVE THAN SPENDING QUALITY TIME WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY AND FUTURE FRIENDS.

And as a special note to Dr Kranz, I heard via the grapevine that "Grandma Sadies" special cinnimon rolls might be up for auction again.

Thanks for listening...

Meetings, notes and more

President Scott Muir opened the meeting at !2:05. Cloris Brown led us in the Pledge of Allegiance, and Stub Clarkson said the Invocation.

SUNSHINE DOLLARS: Sue Clarkson: "I am now in great health!" Dyan Graybeal: "My elder parents voted today." Walt Callahan: (Again) For the SF Giants winning the World Series. Pat Brown for the great party at the Oliver's. Rocky Jackson is going to Arizona for 10 days. Mr. O, Richard Buchanan, about the possibility of a mountain on his neighbor's property.

Scott Muir said he liked the nighttime meeting at the Black Bear and wants to keep going there once a month. We are maybe going to have on speaker a month at the Twin Dragon and Scott thought it would be good to have our members come up and speak for a few minutes. We may have a speaker at one of our nighttime meetings.

It was reported that in all honesty ... the profits made at the concession stands at the Optimist Youth Football Complex this year wasn't very good! As a matter of fact ... it's hoped we break even! I'm sure next year will be better!

Time to RAKE UP BOISE! Saturday, November 17th. We meet at 8 AM on Amber street in Boise. More information on this later.
