Meeting notes: June 4

Scott Evans, KTVB, brought his family
to the Optimist Club meeting

We met at the Black Bear Diner this evening. Larry Highley held two quick meetings beforehand ... one for the membership committee and one for the concessions committee. Jerron Moore held a meeting after the dinner for the 7 on 7 high school competitions to be held in July.

Boise Optimist president Scott Muir opened the meeting at 6:32 PM. Pat Brown led us in the Pledge of Allegiance, and Steve Oliver said the Invocation.

Sunshine Dollars: Mike Akenman talked of profits made at the concession stands. Dyan Graybeal told of now being married to Doug for 42 years. They were married when they were 7. Stub Clarkson talked about the Hugh O'Brien Youth Leadership Foundation (HOBY) picnic and bar-be-que to be held in Caldwell this Saturday June 8th.
We could use some help here.

Our speaker this evening was Scott Evans from KTVB. He brought his beautiful family with him. Wife Tiffany, children Paul, Megan, Katie and Elli.Scott talked about his family ... he said he has 17 siblings ... He talked how he came to KTVB following in his father's footsteps. His father was here for about a year at KTVB. Scott is a great speaker and he kept us in stitches. Thank you Scott.
