Nooner November 25, 2008

President, Cindy Wall called the meeting to order at 12:10 p.m. Linda Jackson led us in the Pledge and Stub Clarkson said the Invocation. Dyan, Sue Thompson and Bill Garcia were fined for "rowdy" behavior!! (Not really). Dyan mentioned that the Meridian Club is once again selling Christmas Trees on Overland Blvd. They need some help, so wear some really warm clothing and help them out.

District Governor Elect Linda Jackson is with us today. Congrats Linda!!

Don Gunner mentioned that Rocky Jackson is the upcoming "Dude" for the new year. Tom and Maggie Williams were with us today - welcome back you guys.

Sunshine $$$: Dyan for her Mother-in-Law who dodged a heart attack by inches. Get Well Mom in Law. Susie for Lisa's Birthday; Rocky for the New Meadows Club coming along well.

Mark Anderson informed us that BSU Football Programs kick of at 2:00 at the ADA Entrance. Next Saturday there will be programs to sell at Basketball as well. This coming Saturday is a double header!! We are also going to sell programs at the Humanitarian Bowl. And, as if that isn't enough, we will have the first round of the NCAA here in Boise (PROGRAMS, PROGRAMS, PRORAMS).

Gary Arbaugh informed us that December 18 will be Santa Letters evening at Jim Troop's and perhaps an additional evening at Stewart Title if needed for Make a Wish.

Diane reminded us that December 6th is the Christmas Party for St. Luke's - Set up is at 1:30 (2 to 4 for party) and 1/2 hour for clan up. We will be filling Santa's Toy Box as well (Please come to help wrap gifts on 12- 20, 21 and 23rd. Contact Dyan for further info.

Michael Bouton reminded us of the Humanitarian Bowl Game.

Our Christmas Auction is December 9: Bring items to Auction Off. They can be anything: New/slightly used; home made; edible, whatever you wish to contribute. If you cannot bring gifts in person, deliver them to Mary Gilman at Home Federal at 8th & State.

Don Gunner and Stub Clarkson gave us the Scoop on Rake up Boise; did you see the article in the Papers?They had a wonderful time, raked up four yards and had 40 bags in two hours. Guests: Pat Arthur a guest of Michael's from Washington State. The Clarkson's reported that Beth Sterling (in her 80's ) is having eye surgery and two hips need to be replaced. Hang in there Beth.

We sang Happy Birthday to Ms. Lisa Peterson who reached the BIG '50" this year and Barb Callahan who reached the Big (never mind) this year and Don Gunner. Best wishes to all. Cake was great too. We concluded the day with members sharing what they are thankful for.

Mike Bouton won the pot --- $3.00. There's a ton of money accumulating in this raffle pot ... next week over $400.
