Boise Noon Optimist News

On this day, Dyan Graybeal gaveled the meeting to order at approximately 12:08 or so. Ken Wall led us in the Pledge Of Allegiance, and Steve Oliver said the Invocation.

Sunshine Dollars: Steve Oliver that Idaho University is the best 2 & 10 football team in the nation. Don Gunner about his daughter graduating from U of I. Walt Callahan about he and wife Barbara being on TV at the Boise Airport. Larry Highley about the need for program sellers at Boise State basketball games. And ... December 17th is the Famous Potato Bowl.

We sang our usual wonderful version of "Happy Birthday" to those who have birthdays in December.

Because of the holiday season, we will not have our usual 4th Tuesday of the month on December 27th at the Casa Mexico.

We had two ladies from St. Luke's MSTI (Mountain States Tumor Institute) to talk to us, Jessica Hardy and Kelsey Breeding.

Jessica and Kelsey

Jessica Hardy spoke of Child Life at MSTI. (Mountain States Tumor Institute) She talked mostly of the program in which we are very involved, "Beads Of Optimism." A program that our own Dyan Graybeal about seven years ago help promote. "There are about 30 kids in active treatment at St. Luke's." Said Jessica. "Many kids with cancer are in and out patients. We have about 50 or so beds for them."

We should be proud of what Dyan Graybeal and our Boise Noon Optimist Club has done!
