Notes from Feb 25 Boise Noon Optimist Club Meeting

Meeting and lunch at The Twin Dragon Feb 25

President Larry Highley called the meeting to order at 12:05 PM. Paul Messersmith led us in the Pledge of Allegiance, and Steve Oliver said the Invocation.

The Bear Care project was a success for the Mountain States Tumor Institute. Mike Ankenman will again run the concession stand this year with help from Steve McNitt.
Guest speaker Kharyee Marshall

Those two gallant men Gary Arbaugh and Mark "Sparky" Anderson will again head the selling of programs at Boise State football and basketball games! Thank you gentlemen!

Our speaker this day was Boise State defensive end Kharyee Marshall. Kharyee will next be the defensive line coach at the College of Idaho. He was born in Atlantic City New Jersey and his mother wanted to get him away from the bad influences there, and moved to Phoenix, Arizona. Coach Chris Peterson saw him playing basketball for Arizona U and eventually got him to come to Boise State to play football.
